Quick Fixes (try these first)

  • Make sure your headphones are securely plugged in if wired. Make sure they are charged if bluetooth enabled
  • Ensure that the volume is adjusted correctly on your PC
  • Check the in-game sound menu options:
    • From the login screen, click the Gear Icon in bottom right hand corner
    • Select 'Options' and then 'Sound'
    • Under Sound heading: 
      • Adjust sliders to test volume
      • Ensure that the correct Output Device is selected
      • Make sure the 'In-Game Audio' box is selected
    • Under the Voice heading (scroll down)
      • Ensure the correct input and output devices are selected
      • Test input/output levels for the correct volume
      • The default setting for Voice Mode is Voice Activated- check if it's been toggled to 'Push To Talk'
      • Ensure the boxes are checked for: 
        • 'Party Channel Enabled'
        • 'Team Channel Endabled' 
  • Check in-game social menu options
    • From the lobby screen, click the hooded Echo icon in the bottom right hand corner.
      • Check and see if anyone on your team has been muted in your friends list
      • Make sure that all players are in the same social channel
        • Select the headphones icon in the top menu
        • Make sure all members are listed and that they are in the correct channel

More Suggestions:

  • If you are on a mouse and keyboard, the ~ button toggles voice on and off, try pushing this button to see if it's muting/unmuting your voice channel appropriately
  • Exit the game and Steam client and relaunch them
  • Restart your computer and relaunch your Steam and game clients
