Players can add others on the Friends list by clicking on the ADD FRIEND button at the lower corner of the Socials menu. This will open the Steam Friend Menu to manually add friends directly to the Steam profile. Adding friends will let you see their in-game activity as well as their online status.
Players can also add recent teammates in-game by opening the Recent Teammates tab on the Socials menu, and right-clicking on the previous teammate’s profile.

Make sure both you and your friends’ Steam profile privacy settings are set to either “Friends Only” or “Public”. This ensures you would be able to see the Steam friends on the in-game friend list.
